AdoptResources has been developed by an adoptive parent and draws on both personal and professional experience of adoption.
Our aim is to develop services and provide information relevant to families and practitioners involved at all stages in adoption and fostering. Services are based on an attachment perspective, and include training and workshops, and one-to-one coaching and support.
Based in East Lothian in Scotland, AdoptResources services can be delivered face to face or remotely by phone, email or in workbook format. Services can be provided directly to individuals or through local authorities and adoption agencies.
AdoptResources employs the services of a number of associates and advisers.
A note from Fiona
AdoptResources has grown from my own experience of searching for and trying to access support for my children and our family. Over the last few years I’ve gathered together bits of information and ways of dealing with some of the issues we’ve faced. I love finding new ways of approaching things and looking at different levels other than strategies for ‘dealing with behaviour’.
I am not a perfect Mum or domestic goddess and make mistakes on a regular basis - but some of my best gems have come from my best mistakes!!
I hope you find something you like here – let me know what you think.
